Our Commitment

Southern Pool Care maintains pools to the standard they were built to. This website is held to the same standard, so every visitor can read it, move through it and reach us, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard or magnification.

The site is built to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the standard referenced under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

What We Hold To

Keyboard

Every page can be used without a mouse. A skip link at the top of each page leads straight to the main content, and the item in focus is always visible.

Screen Readers

Menus, forms, buttons and embedded maps carry names that assistive technology announces. Form fields are labelled and required fields are identified. Images that carry meaning have text descriptions.

Reading and Zoom

Text can be resized and pages can be zoomed without losing content or function. Layouts reflow to phones and tablets. Headings and reading order follow the visual structure of each page.

Third Party Content

Some content, including embedded maps, is supplied by outside providers. Where a provider falls short of the standard, we offer the same information another way.

Reviewed, Not Declared

Accessibility is a practice. The site is audited against WCAG 2.1 AA with automated and manual testing, corrections are made as issues are found, and each audit is kept on record. New pages are held to the same standard before they publish.
